The course record in the men`s category is held by Azarya Weldemariam (ERI) with 00:50:00 and Andrea Mayr in the women`s category (AUT) with 01:02:15.
The first 1.000m serves as a warm-up circuit and will be run in a loop through the centre of Mayrhofen behind the lead vehicle. The pace will be slow, giving participants plenty of opportunity to say “Hi” to spectators lining the route in Mayrhofen.
After this initial opening lap, the Harakiri Race really gets going as from the Sternplatz, when the starting pistol will be fired a second time.
